Patient acceptance has been fantastic, thus translating to a higher compliance of usage. I would attribute this to the comfortable fit achieved by the usage of this special polymer. Feedback is especially positive from patients that are former users of the hard acrylic occlusal guards. There appears to be no comparison for the patients’ perceived fit and comfort.
The secondary benefit I have noted is the decreased chair side time. I spend very little time with intraoral adjustments to Talon nightguards. This translates to a more efficient practice. I am currently ‘testing’ dental students with your Talon modified interocclusal appliance. Many, at their own volition, have asked to replace their current nightguard with a Talon-based appliance. Once again, the feedback is positively outstanding. We are not noticing any accelerated deterioration in the product relative to the hard lab processed acrylics. I appreciate your care and efforts in introducing this product to my practice, and the high quality laboratory service provided in fabricating these appliances. |
